The 2023 versions aren’t huge upgrades, but there are some significant changes compared to last year – particularly in the display department. Both laptops now have the option for a 16in screen (up from 15.6in) or OLED, but you can’t have both on the same device. Only the 14in model is available with an OLED touchscreen, combining it with an improved resolution of 2240 x 1400 pixels. The 16in version increases that to 2560 x 1600, but you’ll have to live with an IPS LCD panel instead....

This modem is, however, ADSL2+ only, so it won’t support faster fibre connections. This is a shame because the XAC1900 is otherwise a strong offering. It supports 600Mbit/s speeds over 802.11n and 1300Mbit/s over 5GHz 802.11ac, with dual SSIDs. The main unit sits horizontally, with a Linksys logo that glows white when the router is powered on. There’s a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port at the rear along with three short and stubby external antennas....

Like most mesh routers, the Orbi Voice system consists of a kit that contains two routers, which can be placed in different rooms or locations and linked together in order to provide a wider and more reliable Wi-Fi signal than you would normally get from a single conventional router. But, in this case, one of the routers also has a smart-speaker built into it, allowing you to listen to music and use Alexa voice commands as well as simply boosting your Wi-Fi network....

This NAS drive is powered by a 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex A15 Quad Core processor backed by 2 GB of RAM. ARM designed processors are what powers most smartphones, but it’s unusual to see it a NAS drive, so we were interested to see how this high-end ARM processor performed.
