In this guide, we’ll take you through the process of taking your screenshots on your Note 8.

Navigate to the content that you wish to capture.Either press + hold the power button and volume down button at the same time, for two seconds.Or you can use your touch screen. Place your hand along the left or right edge of your phone and swipe towards the middle. (You must have “Palm swipe to capture” enabled for this. Settings > Advanced features.)

The screen will flash and your captured screenshot will show on the screen for a moment.The screenshot will be in your gallery, and shareable right away.When you take a screenshot through any method, you’ll have some options pop up at the bottom. “Scroll capture” is particularly useful here, as you can capture an entire page in a series of screenshots, which you phone will then stitch together to make one long picture. This method is perfect for capturing a larger web page, like a long article or restaurant menu.

The S Pen is another great way of interacting with screenshots.

Open up the content you wish to capture.Launch the Air Command by taking out the S Pen, and hit “Screen Write”.This will capture a screenshot, and take you to an editing screen where you can annotate your content.When you’re done, hit Crop, Share or Save to complete your work.

Of course, if you’re feeling extra relaxed over Christmas, you can just ask your phone to take the screenshot for you.
