Pre-Requisites:

Charge your phone to at least 60%.

Install Samsung USB drivers on PC, to recognize your phone when connected.

Enable USB debugging mode from your device settings.

Also, enable OEM unlock mode from the Developer options.

Backup your contacts, apps, messages, accounts, notes, etc. for safety.

After doing everything as given above, let’s start the Samsung Galaxy M10s TWRP installation process.

Steps to install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy M10s:

Method 1: ADB & fastboot

Step 1: Download ADB drivers. Step 2: Install these downloaded ADB drivers on PC. Step 3: Download TWRP.img. Step 4: Copy this twrp.img file to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB & fastboot drivers). Then you’ll see these files in the ADB and fastboot folder:

Step 5: Connect your phone to PC via USB cable. Step 6: On PC, go to C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the Shift button, and right mouse click on a space. You’ll see a list of options from which select the Open command window here option. This will open the command prompt window as shown below.

Step 7: Type the following command in the cmd window and hit enter: adb devices As soon as you hit the enter key, a message saying ‘List of devices attached’ will appear. This will confirm a successful connection between your phone and PC.

Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen, then re-install Samsung USB drivers. If the problem persists, refer to our guide: Step 8: Enter the below command to boot Galaxy M10s into fastboot mode. adb reboot bootloader

Step 9: To confirm whether fastboot is functional or not, enter the below command: fastboot devices

Note: Some random numbers along with ‘List of devices attached’ message will verify that fastboot is functional. Step 10: Let’s install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M10s now. To do so, enter the below command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

This will start the Samsung Galaxy M10s TWRP recovery flashing process. It will hardly last for few minutes. Finally! This is how you can install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M10s using ADB and fastboot commands.

Method 2: Odin Tool

Step 1: Download the Odin tool. Step 2: Download TWRP recovery tar.md5. Step 3: Switch off Galaxy M10s and restart it into downloading mode. Step 4: To do so, press and hold the Power button+ Volume down key simultaneously until the downloading mode shows. Step 5: Connect your phone to PC through USB cable. Step 6: On PC, launch the downloaded Odin tool.

In Odin, the ID: COM section will turn blue. Also, an Added message will appear. This will confirm a successful connection between your phone and PC.

Note: If such thing doesn’t happen, then re-install Samsung USB drivers. Or change USB cable and USB port. Step 7: Besides, tick the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options.

Note: Do not tick Re-partition, Nand Erase, or any other options other than the mentioned ones. Step 8: Now tap the AP button and select the downloaded TWRP recovery.tar.md5 file.

Step 9: Let’s begin the TWRP Samsung Galaxy M10s installation process. To do so, press Start on the Odin.

Wait until the TWRP recovery Galaxy M10s flashing process finishes. As soon as it completes, the ID: COM section will turn green with a Pass message.

Note: If Odin fails, then close everything, again boot your Galaxy M10s into download mode and repeat the complete process. Finally! You’ve successfully installed TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy M10s using the Odin flash tool.

Steps to Boot Galaxy M10s into TWRP recovery mode:
