Pre-Requisites:

To avoid any interruption, make sure to charge your device at least 50%.

Backup your contacts, messages, apps, call logs, notes, etc. for safety.

Install the latest Motorola USB drivers on your PC. This is essential to detect your phone when connected to a PC.

Enable USB debugging mode from your mobile settings.

Also, unlock bootloader before flashing Android Q ROM on Moto G3.

Ensure that your Moto G3 is rooted. Also, a custom recovery like TWRP must be installed.

Steps to install Android 10 Q ROM on Moto G3 2015:

Step 1: Download LineageOS 17 ROM. Step 2: Download GApps. Note: Do not extract these zip files. Step 3: Then connect your phone to PC and transfer both the downloaded zip files on your mobile internal storage. Note: If you don’t have a PC, then you may directly download the files on your mobile. Step 4: Power off your Moto G3 completely until it vibrates. Step 5: Reboot your phone into bootloader mode. For doing so, press and hold the Volume down key + Power button simultaneously until you land into bootloader mode.

Note: Make sure the bootloader is unlocked. Refer Pre-Requisites section.

Note: In bootloader mode, you can perform various operations like restart bootloader, enter recovery mode, start bootloader mode etc. just by using Volume up and down keys. Step 6: So using the Volume keys open the Recovery mode option and select it using the Power button.

Step 7: As soon as you press the power button your mobile will restart into TWRP recovery mode. As soon as you boot into TWRP, take Nandroid backup. This is the backup of your entire mobile operating system. Step 8: After taking backup, tap on the Wipe option from the TWRP main menu. Step 9: On the next screen, swipe in the right direction to start the wiping process. Note: This step will wipe out all your complete phone data and settings. Hence make sure to backup before performing this step. Step 10: Go back to the main menu and again click on the Wipe option. Step 11: On the next screen, click on the Advanced Wipe option. Step 12: Select Dalvik / ART cache, System, Data, and cache partitions. Note: Do not tick any other partitions. Step 13: Swipe in the right direction to begin the wiping process. Let’s start Moto G3 LineageOS 17 ROM flashing process now. Step 14: For that, click on the Install option from the TWRP main screen. All the files and folders present on your mobile storage will pop up as shown below. Step 13: Navigate and select the Lineage OS 17 ROM which you’ve copied earlier. On the next screen, swipe right to start Moto G3 Android Q ROM flashing process. Wait until the flashing finishes. It will hardly take few minutes to complete.
