The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Season 1 – 19 March 2021 There’s a whole host of content slated for Phase Four of the MCU, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is on track to debut second, following WandaVision. Following Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, this programme will deal heavily with the absence of Captain America, and show the return of former Civil War villain, Baron Zemo. Find out more about the show in our roundup of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Loki

Season 1 – 11 June 2021 Following his escape into another timeline during Avengers: Endgame, the God of Mischief will get up to new tricks in his own standalone Disney+ series. Not too much has been revealed about the plot just yet, but early set photos reveal that Loki is in the hands of the Time Variance Authority, and that Sophia Di Martini and Owen Wilson shall both be starring.

Monsters at Work

Season 1 – 2 July 2021 Monsters Inc. is still one of the most beloved Pixar films to this day, and this spin-off is set six months after the original film. However, we won’t be following Mike and Sully – but rather Tylor Tuskmon – a mechanic who who dreams of moving up to the Laugh Floor to work with the two former protagonists.

Hawkeye

Season 1 – Late 2021 Hawkeye is the only show surrounding one of the OG Avengers. It will follow Clint Barton as he passes on the mantel of his title (and teaches his killer archery skills) to apprentice, Kate Bishop. As it’s post Endgame, we may also get to see a brief stint of Clint as Ronin, the vigilante with dubious values following the loss of his family to the Thanos snap.

The Book of Boba Fett

Season 1 – December 2021 The end of season 2 of The Mandalorian set up for a brand new spin-off focusing on the bounty hunter, Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison will reprise his role, and he will be joined by Ming-Na Wen as sniper Fennec Shand. Production has already begun, and Robert Rodriguez has signed on as an executive producer on the series.

The Mandalorian season 3

Season 3 – Early 2022 Everyone just can’t get enough of Mando – and he’s back for a third season on Disney Plus in Christmas 2021. We don’t yet have confirmation on which characters will be returning, but we imagine we’ll see familiar faces such as Cara Dune, Greef Karga and Moff Gideon. We also imagine that the show will create more ties to the upcoming spin-off shows, Ahsoka and Star Wars: Rangers Of The New Republic.

Andor

Season 1 – 2022 Star Wars fans will know that Rogue One ends in tragedy, but this prequel series – Andor – will expand on one particular character, the Rebel spy Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. It will be a spy thriller, exploring stories with espionage and missions of rebels as they fight against the might of The Empire. You can find out more in our Andor series roundup.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Season 1 – Date TBA Of all the upcoming Star Wars series, this revival of Ewan McGregor’s character is probably the most hyped, which will be set eight years after Revenge of the Sith. Originally there was a planned Obi-Wan film, but the team decided to go down the series route for more screen time to tell the story. Currently the release date is still hazy due to production delays, which means that it could be as far away as 2022. Find out the latest Obi-Wan Kenobi news.

Percy Jackson

Season 1 – Date TBA Writer of the Percy Jackson series Rick Riordan announced that a brand new show about the YA fantasy story is in the works. Riordan will be working closely on the adaptation, alongside his wife Becky. Fans were excited about this announcement, as the original films did not go down well with audiences – so hopefully this Disney+ reboot will do the story justice.  Find out the latest Percy Jackson news.

Willow

Season 1 – Date TBA Warwick Davis will be returning to his role as Willow Ufgood in a standalone series based off of the eighties fantasy film from George Lucas. We don’t know a lot about the plot yet, other than it will take place many years after the original movie, and that production will start in 2021.
